Thank you!
If you are
reading these words, you have taken the time to
look over the SUMC website and probably, for a
moment, contemplated what the church is really
like.
Would I be welcome?
Is there a place for me?
Is God's loving presence really felt? |

These and many other questions are very common when
considering a church. They are important
questions, and they deserve an answer. Seneca
United Methodist Church celebrates God's love, grace and
forgiveness. In some ways we are a hospital for
the soul; in other ways, we are a congregation that
seeks to encourage each other to live out the Christian
faith the very best we can. The activity of the
church extends from small group Bible studies to young
people's ministries, to outreach efforts for those in
need. In any event, we recognize that God gives us
new beginnings through the great love of God's Son,
Jesus Christ. The gift of faith allows us to live
life fully and with vitality.
Thank you, again. If you have read this far,
perhaps you might be willing to take a chance and see
for yourself if SUMC might be a place that you could
call home.
Welcome!

- To honor and love God through dynamic
worship and witness (being devoted to His
Word and dependent upon Him through prayer).
- To proclaim to all the great news of
pardon, forgiveness and new life promised to
anyone who repents and trusts in Jesus
Christ as their Savior and Lord.
- To be a spirit-empowered part of the
body of Christ, characterized by a
fellowship of Christ-like love for one
another and by the other fruit of the
Spirit, in which individual and spiritual
gifts of various members are used to provide
nurture and encouragement for the whole
church, and to be a people marked by
holiness in our personal ives and justice in
the social dimension.
- And to be in service to the community
and world through acts of unconditional
love.
