Other Organizations meeting at SUMC
Al-Anon Family Groups
"Al-Anon is a self-help, mutual support program for family members and friends of someone who has a drinking problem. It is based upon the 12 Steps of Alcoholic Anonymous and has been successful in helping people for more than 60 years."
The Fresh Start Al-Anon Family Groups (AFG) meets every Tuesday at the SUM Church from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Based upon the principle of anonymity, members of AFG introduce themselves by first names only and ask that any “personal sharing” be held in confidence.
A basket is passed and funds are used to make a donation to the Church, to purchase literature, to meet group expenses and to support public outreach throughout the world. Anyone is welcome to attend.
The AFG member who has agreed to serve as a contact person is Jan M. who can be reached at 432-7063.
